What we do:
Youth Power works to ensure young people have meaningful involvement on all levels of the services they receive. We ensure the availability of peer support through persistent advocacy, technical assistance, and holding educational programming for community members. We also maintain a network of youth leaders and Certified Youth Peer Advocates within our region to support our workforce connections.
Who we are:
What services we provide:
Youth Power is a New York State Network hosted by Families Together in NYS that is run for and by youth and young adults. Together, we ensure that young people get the support they need with the respect and dignity they deserve.
We Support and amplify youth voice and involvement on local, regional, Statewide, and national events. We host a variety of events dedicated to empowering young people and providing opportunities for young people to meet directly with state leaders. One of our events includes the annual youth conference titled “University of Youth Power,” which aims to connect statewide youth leaders aging between 18 and 30 years on a college campus for a mock college experience. We also provide FREE technical assistance and training opportunities for both youth (12-17), Young Adults (18+), and service providers.
